myrtle beach , sc ... three days ago 
. a morning jogger has discovered a very strange creature washed ashore on a private beach. she feverishly takes a video of the creature on her iwatch 
. she then calls the local police and 2 cars pull up ... 15 minutes later a helicopter is circling the beach and a sniper shoots the cops and the jogger. the cops are dead and she is wounded but running ... the creature is taken away on a semi-truck with moving van decals on the side. she is hiding in the underbrush 3 miles away...a team of delta squad operators is moving in on her beach house (her boyfriend and 2 house mates almost surely dead 
..)
she is running...but who can help?

Nice ! I read the novels around these creatures (Port Isaac if I remember correctly ?) not so long ago. ^^So this does definitely ring a bell. Very nicely done !
